*looking for someone who can bid on a Yahoo!Japan auction*
I didn't see anything regarding this in the rules, so I hope it's okay to ask ... is there anyone who is able and willing to bid on a Yahoo!Japan auction for me? An actual person, that is, and not just a deputy service?

I attempted to bid on the auction already using Shopping Mall Japan's deputy bidding service, but the seller doesn't approve of such services and has put restrictions on their auction to keep the bid from going through. It's rather frustrating, to say the least.

I realize that some people may disagree with my trying to circumvent this restriction and all; but if there is someone over in Japan who would be willing to help, I'd really appreciate it. ^_^

Just for additional information, the auction is for a Final Fantasy doujinshi, and it's going for a much better price on Y!Japan than on eBay. I'm located in the USA and can pay with Paypal. And, yes, I'll pay for everything: the doujinshi, bank wiring fees, shipping, a commission fee, and etc. To reach me, please either comment or send me a PM. Thank you!

I'm afraid I do not have a personal account either, but Celga allows sellers to make personal Yahoo!Japan auction accounts if you choose to purchase the item through their Gold Account system (unfortunately, you have to buy a membership though).

If making a Gold Account does not interest you, there's always Celga's normal bidding services. They have multiple accounts for situations such as this, so if you explain your problem they can try to go around the restrictions.

Thanks for the suggestion! I just sent off an email to Celga, and they said they could try bidding with one of their non-Celga IDs. It's worth a shot!

I encountered a similar situation without even realizing it until i saw that it didn't look like Celga had bidded for me and they told me they did but under a different user name because of that situation you described. And it turns out i won the auction in the end. It was definitely a relief. Good luck and hope you win.

Unfortunately, the seller still blocked the bid even with Celga's alternate ID. I was able to find the doujinshi elsewhere, though ... it just cost a bit more. ^^;; Thanks, though!

:/ I don't know if you still need help, but I used http://japan-records.net/ to buy something off Y!JA. Surprisingly, he's legit and awesome. Highly recommended.

*is simultaneously hypnotized and dizzied by your icon* XD

Hm. I've never heard of him before, but his fees are definitely fair. Mind if I ask how you found out about him?
