I am very sorry for asking this out of the blue, but since 2010, I have dealt with some very flaky buyers...some of which, have made me wait several months to back out of buying or just never replied, when at the time, I really needed the funds to pay for necessities.
I've asked some of my friends on how to deal with them, and they suggested down-payments and proof of feedback, but those rarely seem to work for me even though they work for other people.
The more I need funds for necessities, the more I feel that I should sell my near-MINT items at reasonable (as in, not too high or dirt cheap) prices BUT I always have the worst luck, and it all the more damages my self-esteem and sense of financial security when I have late bills when my savings couldn't cover all the fees..
I understand that most people are just looking for cheaper things, but when I do put in an ample amount of time into price researching, it just feels unfair to get that note or pm that asks if I can lower the price(s) to unreasonable levels just because the buyer can't afford it.
There have also been several instances where some people asked for various image samples (from many artbooks and doujinshi) and never got back to me after getting those samples.
I think I emit a bad seller aura or something of that nature, because I seem to have the worst luck selling anything :(
I also have a few Japanese otome games that I bought a few years back, limited edition with an extra drama CD and often enough have never been opened. For the first time ever, a person who was interested in buying 2 of them asked if I could sell them both for 1/2 price WITH SHIPPING (when they would have originals cost somewhere around $80 and $110 each without shipping--this one had plethora of extra books and stickers--and those are far lower than Amazon's prices). I told her that the lowest I could possibly go with is $160 SHIPPED but she promptly declined. I greatly regret not being able to sell them, but since then, I don't know who to sell to .__. In the last 2 years or so, she's been the only one interested, and I don't know if I could just ask any Japanese deputies to sell for me because I wouldn't know how the process of reselling would work ;________;
Could someone please, please help me...?
Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read this.
