WTB - Vassalord Manga (Japanese) & Nanae Chrono artbooks
Is there anybody who lives near a BookOff or a store that happens to have the Japanese Vassalord manga or can somehow help me buy the Japanese Vassalord manga? Or maybe help give me an idea of how much it would cost? I’m shopping novice when it comes to Japanese books. I’m hoping to not pay too much for all of them, but I also know they won’t be cheap.

I’m also looking for the artbooks from Nanae Chrono. Used is ok as long as they’re in great-excellent shape. No rips and such.

Also, I know it’s HIGHLY unlikely, but in the off chance there’s somebody out there willing to part with a Vassalord DVD or the whole bundle please let me know. I thought I mention it just in case.

Hi! I think I can help you with most of the items you're looking for since. Have a friend, a Japanese friend, who buy for me all my Vassalord and other mangas, artbooks, etc and she bought me the Vassalord limited edition from Animate.

I think I can get: regular edition mangas in Japanese, artbook Kuro no Ga and Animate limited edition volume 7.

What do you think?

Cheers :)

Also I think I can get Calendar 2008 Vassalord.

OMG for how much? Seriously, my heart just jumped a mile! XD Especially when you mentioned the limited edition of volume 7 and the calendar! XD

This would be AMAZING. XD I'm not super rich, but I am willing to pay a reasonable price for things. Please tell me more~!! Please~!!

Hi! Yes, I'm a super fan also and a friend of mine used to bought the AVARUS magazine just for Vassalord so I'm used to see it :)

Exactly what would you like to buy? So I can send an email to my friend and ask her and then she can tell me prices.
kamerin_chankamerin_chan on April 22nd, 2013 04:13 pm (UTC)
I understand things from Japan that are out of print are really hard to find and shipping costs a lot, but I'm prepared and willing. ;)

I'm just super excited you might be able to help me out! Really, thank you!
cone_23cone_23 on April 22nd, 2013 04:18 pm (UTC)
Ok with that :) could you please tell me what items do you want to buy so I can send an email to my friend?
kamerin_chankamerin_chan on April 22nd, 2013 04:29 pm (UTC)
Sorry. Excitment got the better of me for a sec. ^^;;

If possible I'd like the two artbooks, the calendar, the limited edition of volume 7, and (I know this sounds crazy, but...) 2 copies of the regular volumes except #7 if your friend can get the limited edition of volume 7. I'm one of those weird readers where when I have a series I totally love I want two copies. A reading copy and a "keeping" copy. ><;; I know it sounds weird.

If your friend happens to find any other Vassalord things I'm open to those as well.

So I guess a breakdown would be:

Chronograffiti - artbook
"Kuro no Ga" (I think it's called?) - artbook
Limited Edition of Volume 7
The 2008 Calendar
Volumes 1-6 Regular editions x2
Volume 7 x1 if you can find the limited edition of volume 7
...and I'm open to anything else Vassalord! ;)

I've heard about a "Vassalord mini picture collection" that came with the limited edition of volume 2? I don't much about it tho. If there are any artbooks I don't know about I'm interested in those too.

If you guys can find any of those items (especially the LE of volume 7) that would be stellar! Thank you so very much to you and you're friend!! Thank you, thank you~!! XD

About artbook Chronograffiti, I think that's sold out, I even can't have one T_T

Artbook Kuro no Ga, animate limited edition volume 7 with ova, calendar 2008, regular edition- quantity doesn't matter.

About manga volume 7, there are 2 editions: limited comes ONLY with the ova, it is not sold alone and if it's sold then it becomes regular edition which is the second type of edition. So, I think I can get just regular edition for volume 7 since limited edition it's almost impossible. Please tell me what you think about this issue.

About Vassalord mini picture collection, haven't heard about it but if it's a collection it must be sold out, it's really a pity T_T

Ahhh. I see, I see.

If at all possible definitely one limited edition of volume 7 with the dvd. I'd really love to have the dvd edition.

If it's impossible to get the le of volume 7 with the dvd then two copies of the regular edition, but if possible to dvd edition. ><;; I know it will probably be next to impossible to find so I really appreciate the help.

The Chronograffiti I understand about. The other things I would like.

Thank you so much again for even being able to help with any of these items. I thought it would near impossible for me to get most of these things. ^^

Ok, I'll send her an email right now but she may answer later since now is 2 in the morning there in Japan and she has a full time job so as soon as I received her answer I'll send you a PM.

Is this ok with you?
cone_23cone_23 on April 22nd, 2013 04:55 pm (UTC)
Could you pay by Paypal?
kamerin_chan: rayflokamerin_chan on April 22nd, 2013 04:57 pm (UTC)
Anytime you get a response is fine. I'm more interested in finding the items than getting them quickly. So no rush. ;)

Also, PayPal works great for me.

Thank you! ^^

Ok then :)

See you and wait for my PM.

Btw, please look also at the suspicious section of the PM, lately my friends who send me PMs, their messages got into suspicious section. Everyone at LJ complains about this updates.

Ok! I'll keep an eye out and check the suspicious section just in case. ;) Until then.

If you're on ebay, this guy is the greatest: http://stores.ebay.com/asmangashop. I've ordered a couple of complete series from him. They were secondhand, but in great condition, still with obis and inserts. He's very responsive to special orders and he has perfect feedback. Shipping costs hurt but his are reasonable compared to say, amazon.jp. Looking at his shop might at least give you an idea of what you might expect to pay for a comparable set.

Another option might be http://www.kinokuniya.com/us/, assuming you're in the US. I've only ordered singles through them.

Edit: haha, I just saw your convo above, hope it works out! :)

Ooh! Thank you for the ebay seller recommendation. I bought a used artbook from a different seller in the past and it wasn't in very good shape. I'll take a look at this guy tho.

I've heard about Kinokuniya, but didn't know much about them. Did your orders go well from them? When I look things up a lot of things say "out of stock" and so I get worried the items won't come in. I'll have to consider them. I think they have a free shipping special coming up tomorrow so it might be a good chance for me to check them out.

Thank you for the suggestions! ^^

EDIT: About my convo above-- Me too! XD Oh gawd, I hope!! XP

It's been awhile but I ordered a couple not-in-stock books from Kinokuniya, it involved an email exchange: You tell them what you want, they tell you whether they can get it and for how much + US shipping charges, you confirm and pay. It went fine, but they order from Japan, the item goes to their NYC store, then they mail it out from there (I'm in southern California). So it took maybe 6 weeks? (a lot longer than the ebay seller) but the shipping was less.

Anyway, good luck! *fingers crossed*
