Yukata + obi set for sale (Brand new!)
I'm selling a brand new yukata and obi set, never worn, and a set of tea ceremony accessories in a fabric case.

This sale is for a set of one pale red cotton yukata with a cherry blossom pattern and one matching yellow obi. Both items are brand new and have never been worn. These items are made in Japan, and are shipping from Japan.

The yukata measures 164cm from shoulders to hem. It will fit any woman between US sizes 6-12 (possibly smaller or up to 14 as well, I can't judge to be sure). The obi is approx. 340cm long and is yellow with black backing on the reverse side. The edges of the obi are reinforced to ensure they never fray. This is not a cheap costume yukata, it is intended to be worn in daily life (festivals, parties, etc.).

Price: $45 for the set of yukata and obi. (If you are interested in a pair of geta slippers (available up to 24cm/US size 8) to wear with it, I can purchase them for you at a local department store for an additional fee upon request.)
Shipping: Shipping is from Japan to anywhere in the world via airmail or EMS (EMS packages generally don't cost more than a few dollars more than airmail, arrive faster, and must be signed for upon receipt). Shipping to the US is $12, Canada is $18, other countries please ask (most will be comparable prices).
Payment: Payment is by PayPal only, and must be received within 7 days of confirmation of the sale. I will ship the following business day upon receiving your payment.

Also for sale:

A tea ceremony set including an orange handkerchief, a set of papers (more than 20 sheets included, used as dishes for wagashi (traditional sweet Japanese snacks), a metal utensil in its own orange fabric case (used to slice the snacks and eat them, not pictured) and a fabric case to hold everything.

Price: $10 for everything. (If you are interested in a Japanese tea bowl as well, I can purchase one for you at a local department store for an additional fee, upon request.)
Shipping: Free if purchased with yukata set above. If seperate, $3 via airmail to the US, $5 to Canada, elsewhere please ask.
Payment: Payment is by PayPal only, and must be received within 7 days of confirmation of the sale. I will ship the following business day upon receiving your payment.

If you have any questions please leave them in the comments or email me at perosquared (at) gmail.com. Thanks! :D To see info on my past sales/feedback, check out my selling journal muscatlove_sale.

Oh wow....... I really like this......jeez do I have enough money....GAH...

I've always wondered how does an Obi tye to the back?

i really do like it...... :\...... I'm 5'7... would it come past my ankles?

Generally yukata are adjustable within a certain range of height (average Japanese heights, 5'7" is on the tall side but normal) to make them the length you want. As for how to tie an obi, I've never done it to myself, only had it done to me. There are hundreds of ways to tie them, I think it takes a bit of practice but once you've learned it you can do it in under 10 minutes. If you search Google for "how to tie an obi" there are tons of results.

Someone else made a firm purchase offer on the yukata, so I'm letting them have it if they complete the sale, but if they change their mind for some reason I can let you know if you'd like. :)

Great! Do you want just the yukata set or it + the tea ceremony set? If you live in the US, the total cost for the yukata set + shipping will be $57, if you live elsewhere just let me know and I'll correct the total. You can tell me your info here if it's a different country, or just make sure to include your correct shipping address in the PayPal email if you live in the US - my account is perosquared@gmail.com Thanks! :D

Worry it took me a bit to get back to you!

I would only like the yukata and obi. Is that the $57 you spoke of?
82828muscatlove on July 10th, 2006 08:28 am (UTC)
Great! :D Actually, I checked postage today and you can make it $55 even for the yukata/obi set (as long as you're in the US, if elsewhere please let me know), and I will ship either air mail or EMS (sometimes EMS is the same price and arrives in under 5 days vs 2 weeks for airmail, as long as you have no preference). You can PayPal the $55 (with your shipping address) to perosquared@gmail.com and I will ship the day after I receive your payment. Thanks! ^__^
